It’s not just about your brain cells or your muscles.  The old adage “use it or lose it” also applies to your bones. Weight-bearing exercises such as walking, running, jogging, jumping rope, and dancing are best for your bone health. Weight-bearing exercises are those that work against gravity. They build skeletal strength and stimulate bone cell activity. At the same time these exercises are strengthening your bones, they also allow you to maintain muscle strength, coordination and balance, and that in turn helps to prevent falls and fractures.
